This is not a Polish club but traditional English pub ‘’ The Empress On The Stray’’. Last Sunday every month The Polish Nights start at 5pm. We have done this for over one year; in July 2010 was celebrating this occasion.
The ideas to create something like that were a few. Firstly to make one place where Polish people can meet, talk, makes some new contacts e.t.c. Secondly to get to know, by Polish people, English culture and English friends (because this is English pub) and give same. Another reason to give people something different than that they have every day.
The evening begins with Polish music (mostly rock, pop), next people can start to taste Polish beer and vodka (of course Polish folks should try English beers).
After this everybody can order polish traditional cuisine like: Breaded Pork Cutlet, Polish Hamburger, Skewered Dish / Pork Shashlik, Spiced Pork Sausage, soups, dumplings, some salads, desserts and of course a famous savoury stew (bigos).

On the end of serving food about 9pm music stop playing and Polish Night convert in English traditional quiz on which everyone can join. For Polish people this kind entertainment can be challenge and pleasure. Quiz end about 12pm.
